Fedja had nice exhibition in Ruma and they opened his section in the museum as he donated 25 paintings. After that we decided to travel to Jerusalem and later to Istanbul. Jerusalem was inspiring and exciting. We made some kind of pilgrimage and even got grammata ( certificate)about it from Patriarch of Jerusalem. We have been in the desert in the Monastery of Mar Saba. on the river Jordan, and in many other places in and out of Jerusalem.
Istanbul was a big surprise. I have been there 30 years ago and it was so dirty, now it is the cleanest city in the world. This two places are the most important places for the history of the whole world. In Dumbarton Oaks I have been working in archive of historical paces but now I could see them in reality. Fedja was brave to walk so much as it was very difficult sometimes to reach monastery on the top of the hill. Belgrade is nice but economy is bad, but I feel happy there.
