Urgent plea from Waziristan

Dear Supporters,
An estimated one million Internally Displaced People (IDPs) from North Waziristan have fled their homes as a consequence of the army operations in Waziristan, resulting in a severe humanitarian crisis.
Since a significant number of these IDPs have found their way to Swat, I continue to be haunted by the stories that have reached me about the difficulties these people are encountering.
It is unfortunate that the plight of these people has been ignored by mainstream media, but I know, first-hand, about this unbearable suffering, as I personally lived in the IDP camps with Swatis when they went through the same crisis in 2009.
Based on our experience in helping the Swat IDP's, SRI has taken the lead to coordinate an effort in Swat to immediately provide relief for these afflicted people who are suffering and dying due to the lack of very basic needs.
While we have already started a relief program, there is currently a dire need for your prayers and financial help to be able to adequately provide:
> Shelter
> Water
> Food
> Baby formula
> Basic healthcare for the sick, the elderly, women and small children
